Cooxupé
Cooxupé’s mission is to empower small farmers while promoting sustainable agricultural practices

Our Story
Founded in 1932 as an agricultural credit cooperative, Cooxupé evolved into a coffee growers' cooperative in 1957. Headquartered in Guaxupé, Minas Gerais, it is one of Brazil's largest coffee cooperatives, supporting over 20,000 members, with more than 97% being small-scale family farmers. The cooperative operates in over 330 municipalities across southern Minas Gerais, the Cerrado Mineiro, Matas de Minas, and the Vale do Rio Pardo in São Paulo.
Supporting Growth and Diversification
Cooxupé blends tradition with innovation. Beyond its core coffee operations, the cooperative has expanded into various sectors to enhance members' livelihoods. This includes a roasting operation, an animal feed factory, and ventures into corn production. Additionally, Cooxupé has partnered with Master Expresso to provide coffee solutions for the corporate market.
Expanding Reach and Investing in the Future
With 49 business units, including its headquarters in Guaxupé, service centers, and an export office in Santos, Cooxupé continues to expand its presence both nationally and internationally. The cooperative also boasts modern facilities like the Japy Industrial Complex, a cutting-edge logistics hub, and extensive warehousing operations to ensure the smooth distribution of its products.
Mission
Cooxupé’s mission is to empower small farmers while promoting sustainable agricultural practices, fostering economic growth, and ensuring the highest quality coffee for its customers, all while exploring new opportunities for its members’ prosperity.
