Fazenda São Gabriel

Fazenda São Gabriel aims to deliver a unique coffee experience that honors tradition while fostering a sustainable future.

Our Story
Founded in 1989 in Guaxupé, Minas Gerais, Fazenda São Gabriel specializes in producing specialty coffees and macadamias. The farm is renowned for cultivating Laurina, a rare and low-caffeine Arabica variety. Under the stewardship of Isaac Gabriel, the farm has dedicated over 25 years to cultivating Laurina at altitudes between 950–1,150 meters, where insect activity is minimal.

Craftsmanship in Every Bean
Laurina, also known as Bourbon Pointu, is distinguished by its low caffeine content, approximately 50% less than typical Arabica beans. This variety is characterized by its small, elongated grains and delicate flavor profile, featuring floral, chocolate, and brown sugar notes with a creamy body and vibrant citrus acidity. Its cultivation is challenging due to its low yield and susceptibility to pests, making it a rare and prized coffee.

Respecting Nature, Empowering Producers
Fazenda São Gabriel is committed to sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship. The farm utilizes photovoltaic panels to generate its own energy, reducing its environmental impact. This dedication to sustainability ensures that each cup of Laurina reflects a commitment to both quality and the planet.

Mission
To produce exceptional specialty coffees, with a focus on Laurina, by embracing sustainable practices, innovation, and a deep respect for the environment and community. Fazenda São Gabriel aims to deliver a unique coffee experience that honors tradition while fostering a sustainable future.
