Our Story
Founded on May 7, 1961, by visionary farmers from Carmo de Minas and surrounding cities, Cocarive was established to transform local coffee production into a benchmark for both productivity and quality in southern Minas Gerais, an area known for its fertile land and ideal climate for coffee cultivation.

Craftsmanship in Every Bean
With 661 members, Cocarive receives an average annual production of 150,000 bags of Coffea Arabica, focusing on Natural and Pulped Natural coffees. The cooperative offers its members technical assistance and modern facilities for coffee processing, ensuring the best quality from pre-cleaning to electronic bean selection. Cocarive prioritizes sustainability and environmental protection, focusing on eco-friendly farming practices that enhance both productivity and quality.

Mission and Vision

Mission: To promote the development of the region and its members by providing access to both domestic and international markets for their high-quality coffees. Cocarive also supports its members with technical assistance, inputs, and favorable market conditions.

Vision: To become a national reference in cooperativism, known for its dedication to cooperative principles, sustainability, and producing specialty coffees.
