Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza
FAF won the Sustainability Award from the Specialty Coffee Association of America in 2008.

Our Story
Founded in 1850, Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (FAF) was transformed by Silvia Barretto and Marcos Croce in 2001 into a sustainable, organic coffee farm. They introduced innovative practices, including offering workers 50% ownership of the coffee they planted. The farm was renamed to reflect its environmental commitment.
Craftsmanship in Every Bean
FAF produces high-quality coffee using organic methods and agroforestry techniques. Their commitment to sustainability and innovation, under the guidance of Silvia, Marcos, and their son Felipe Croce, results in coffees with unique varietals and processing methods.
Sustainability and Innovation
FAF won the Sustainability Award from the Specialty Coffee Association of America in 2008. They support local farmers through education and their Bob-O-Link Project, focusing on sustainable farming practices and environmental protection.
Mission
To produce exceptional, sustainable coffee while fostering positive relationships between people and the environment, improving the livelihoods of local farmers through direct trade and sustainability.
